At Marwaha Dental Clinic in Gurugram, patient safety is not a procedure - it is a commitment built into every aspect of our practice. Our sterilization and infection control protocols meet and exceed the guidelines set by the Dental Council of India, ensuring that every instrument, surface, and material that touches a patient has been thoroughly sterilised before use.
Marwaha Dental Clinic follows a systematic infection-control process across both DLF Phase 2 and Sector 39 clinics, with sterilization steps built into routine patient care.
Our Sterilization Process
Front-Loading Vacuum Autoclave
Our clinic uses a front-loading vacuum autoclave - the gold standard in dental sterilization. Unlike conventional autoclaves, the vacuum cycle removes all air from the chamber before steam enters, supporting sterilization of complex instruments according to clinic protocol. Every dental handpiece, scaler, and surgical instrument is autoclaved after every single patient use - without exception.
UV Radiation Disinfection
UV radiation is used to disinfect water lines, air, titanium implants, and dental equipment that cannot be autoclaved. UV disinfection eliminates bacteria, viruses, and fungi without the use of chemicals - leaving no residue on instruments that contact patient tissue.
Surface Disinfection Protocol
All clinical surfaces - dental chair, bracket table, light handles, and surrounding areas - are disinfected with hospital-grade disinfectants between every patient. Barrier covers are applied to surfaces that cannot be wiped, such as light switches and chair controls, and replaced after each patient.
Disposable Materials Only
All materials that contact a patient's mouth - gloves, masks, saliva ejectors, cotton rolls, needles, and anaesthetic cartridges - are single-use and disposed of immediately after each procedure. Nothing is reused. Ever.
Biomedical Waste Disposal
All clinical waste - sharps, contaminated materials, and biomedical waste - is segregated, stored, and disposed of through a licensed biomedical waste management system in compliance with the Biomedical Waste Management Rules, 2016.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All clinical staff wear fresh gloves, surgical masks, eye protection, and clinical gowns for every patient. Dr. Divya Marwaha and Dr. Supreet Kaur Sawhney follow the same strict PPE protocol for every procedure - from a routine cleaning to complex oral surgery.
